Sept Catch up!

8 Sep – 12 Sep 2026

Life has been hitting fast and hard, so catching up on the backlog! I’m getting tires rotated on one of the trucks, so a perfect opportunity to work on a couple posts!

Shenanigans at Cub Scouts! Jarek is helping out as a den chief with the pack.

Garrett has his battle helmet, and is reporting for duty!

9 Sep

Goats doing goat things, and chillin’! The black one is a buck named Shamus, and the white does are Mother and daughter Challie and Zanzi.

Gymnastics class for Garrett!

Garrett runs the obstacle course at YMCA gymnastics!

Arya and Evan work on their CLT tests for the Fall period. I had the kids take a test this fall as a placement / status check before we began the year.

Arya had a volleyball game with the Oakleaf Yellow Jackets!

Evan and his friend from Soccer got to get some snacks and watch the game. It has been the highlight for Evan to buy hot dogs and other things from the snack stand with his own money!

Our gander, very proud of himself! And very loud!

Garrett helps to make breakfast. All of the kids love to help cook!

Meagan is getting creative with her breakfast arrangements…

Randal at the soccer game. He loves going and hanging out, and he packs his own toys to bring!

Evan makes a save! He is the team’s best goalie!

Costco after the game! Everyone’s favorite for hot dogs and pizza!

Randal helps carry the detergent all the way to the front of the store. He really wanted to carry it to be helpful!

Randal enjoys his well earned treat!

But all that effort tired him out!

Smolder, our cat, decided that this was the best place to sleep, you know, where he could impede the most things.

Up in the attic fixing my punched through data cable.

As it was not a very hot day, I got up on the roof to install the bathroom vent caps.

First one done. All in all, not too bad, but I was keeping an eye on the weather that was threatening to bring rain on me at any time. Of course it did, when there was a hole open in the roof.

A view of the clouds from the roof!

Second one done. Not the prettiest install, but it won’t be entered into any contests for beauty. Thus far, no leaks observed!

While up on the roof, I took the opportunity to blow off the leaves and other debris that had accumulated on the roof.
